Today's List:
1. Hulu (It's a nice way to relax and catch up on the shows that I don't get to watch during the week. Today I caught up on House, Grey's Anatomy, Bones, and Supernanny.)
2. Digital Camera (I really appreciate having the ability to take photos on the spur of the moment. Today I snapped some cute pictures of the dogs sleeping on their backs with their feet up in the air! It's hard to believe that I went for YEAR without being able to capture all of these little moments. It makes me wish I had a digital camera back during the college days!)
3. Digital Files (Once again it is getting closer to tax time and I am glad that most of my 'paperwork' for the season is in digital format. The End of Year Summaries and other things that I can gain access to online help to make my job easier when it comes time to gather all of the numbers together.)
4. God's Grace (Today I was able to offer comfort to my dear friend as one of her dogs suffered from being hit by a vehicle. As of this writing, it looks like the dog will survive, however she will lose one of her eyes to this tragedy. I am thankful that my friend's brother was able to step up and step in and get the sweet puppy the medical attention she needed and deserved. And I pray and have faith and hope that the kindhearted dog will be able to adapt and thrive, as she is so well loved.)
5. A Note of Appreciation (Some dear friends from college recently suffered the loss of one of their children. Another friend offered to create a memorial fund, allowing those of us who are unable to be there in person to show our love and gratitude to this very wonderful couple and their family. We contributed our own donation and to my surprise I received an email that personally thanked me - from the woman who was the contact with the family and was able to give them the combined gift. It addressed me by name and it expressed sincere appreciation for what we had offered and how everyone had come together to show their love and support. While the thank you was not necessary it truly reflects what a class act this family is, that they are reaching out to reflect that love back to each of us and tell us that we are known and individually appreciated.)
Hug those you love a little closer. Pet your furry ones a few extra times. And count your blessings!
